Letter From The President
Dear Great Wall and Children of All Nations Families,
Welcome to our new Forever Families Newsletter! We invite everyone to navigate and read through our upgraded format. This newsletter has now combined all of our programs within Great Wall and Children of All Nations. You will notice information on our China Waiting Child Program as well as any updates for other country programs we offer (Ethiopia, Haiti, Latvia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, and Ukraine). Our vision for the Forever Families Newsletter is for our families to be engaged and learn more, not only about international adoption, but other educational adoption services, programs and updates GW/CAN has as well.
One of the most recent and exciting updates we have is the launch of our Peru adoption program. We are now accepting applications from families who are interested in Peru adoption. Visit our site for more detailed information on eligibility requirements, costs and program details. We have also received great news on our Philippines adoption program. Children of All Nations has been approved to place healthy younger children from the Philippines, as well as set up a summer hosting program for families interested in hosting an orphaned child from the Philippines. We are currently in the process of putting this program together and are excited to keep families updated as we move forward with this project.
In other country news, CAN's first dossier has been received in Haiti, after the tragic earthquake in January, and GW's China Waiting Child Program has received a surge of attention now that families can adopt two Special Focus children at the same time. Our agency is working hard to provide families with the resources and updates they need to remain abreast of any current changes in international adoption. For further updates on our programs, see our Program Updates section.
Along with our latest country adoption program information, we'd also like to remind everyone that the month of November is National Adoption Month. We encourage families to continue to educate themselves on adoption, create awareness and advocate for international adoption. Throughout this month, we will feature updates and stories from adoptive families and our country programs. We kick off November with this newsletter and a family focus story on the Hooper family, who have adopted through Great Wall twice, once through our regular China program and the second time through our China Waiting Child program. Read their story here in our Family Focus section.
November also leads us all into the holiday season, and therefore, we continue to ask for all your family support. A few members of our staff are headed to Africa this month to help set up new programs which will allow more families to adopt. We'd like to remind you that every little bit of energy, care, concern and help, assists us in finding homes for children. We appreciate any donations you can give this month and next, as we push forward in establishing new country programs and helping these children and their orphanages. Click here for our donation form to donate to our GW/CAN efforts.
Our hope is that you find the changes with Great Wall/Children of All Nations helpful and encouraging to your family and others interested in international adoption. We continually seek ways to improve our programs, services and assist our families how ever we can. Enjoy our latest newsletter and as always, thank you for all your help and support!
Sincerely,

Snow Wu
