What an exciting week this is for several of our families in the China Adoption process–nine kids have been united with their Forever Families, and will be traveling home with them just in time for Thanksgiving!
The holiday season is a time to surround yourself with family and loved ones, and it is truly wonderful to be able to say that each of these kiddos now has a family of their very own! While there are moments in the adoption process that can be frustrating, it all comes down to that moment when you get to hold your child in your arms and you know that is where they have always belonged.
Congratulations to each of these families from all of us at GWCA and CAN. We are so incredibly happy for you and the amazing children that you’re welcoming into your families.
For any families that are interested in learning more about our China Adoption program, please feel free to contact our China Matching Specialists, or visit our Waiting Child Photo Listing to learn how you can begin your adoption journey today!

Hi there! My name is Eli and I am 8 months old. I have something called an anal atresia, and some nice doctor’s gave me a surgery on my intestines and I feel much better now. My caretakers say that I am a cute, smart, active baby that is often laughing and smiling. I like to play with brightly colored toys that make sounds. I am fond of listing to music. I will turn to look when a sound is made and I can visually follow moving objects. I really enjoy pulling off my socks. I can hold my head up when I’m lying on my stomach, I can sit up alone for a few moments by myself and when my caretakers hold my armpits I can stand up. I am trying really hard right now to roll over and crawl. I can easily hold objects like blocks in my hands and I like to bang the blocks together to make noise. My file was just recently prepared and is pretty up-to-date. You can contact my friends at Great Wall if you would like to learn more about adopting me! I hope my friends at Great Wall find my Forever Family soon!

Hi there! My name is
Teddy and I just turned 2 years old. My doctor’s tell me that my bladder formed a little differently than some of my friends and that I am a little delayed in some areas, but I don’t let that keep me down! I love eating bread and cookies and playing with my food (I mean what toddler doesn’t love throwing their food around)! I am a very active little boy and I like playing games with my friends like hide and seek. I am learning to talk and mimic the adults speaking around me. I can be a little shy around strangers, but once I get to know them I become much braver. My file is a little outdated so my friends at Great Wall are working hard to learn more about me. Hi there! My name is
Luca and I just turned 2 years old. I was born with a heart that is a little different than some of my friends, but some nice doctor’s gave me a surgery and now I feel much better! I like to be cuddled by my caretakers and I am often smiling. Because I was sick when I was younger I have some developmental delays, but I am getting stronger every day. I tend to be more introverted and I am well behaved. I like listening to music and playing with toys that make sounds. My friends at Great Wall are working hard to learn more about me. **MATCHED** Hello! My name is
Evie and I just turned 1 year old. My doctor’s say that because I was born premature, and because my brain
might have developed a little differently than some of my friends, I am developmentally delayed in some areas. But I don’t let that keep me down! I live in a foster family and I am attaching well emotionally to my foster parents. I often have a smile on my face and I enjoy playing with toys that make sounds. I am fond of imitating others, like when my caretaker makes a pouty face, I will imitate her with my face. I am babbling and I laugh when I am happy. When someone calls my name I turn my head to look at them. I am very observant and I can follow objects around the room with my eyes and when I hear a noise I turn my head to see what it is. I can lie on my stomach and prop myself up with my hands and feet, I can hold up my head and I can roll over both left and right freely. My file was just recently prepared and is pretty up-to-date. You can contact my friends at Great Wall if you would like to learn more about adopting me! I hope my friends at Great Wall find my Forever Family soon!
